What you can expect at your massage

Massage is all about relaxation even if you are coming to because of stress or muscle tension.  We use dim lighting and soft music in the room to ensure that you feel comfortable and at ease. 

We do need to know if you have any specific problem area, any medical or surgical history we should be aware of and you're hoping to get out of the massage.  You will be asked to undress leaving just your underpants or knickers on. You will be completely private while you do this and the therapist will ensure that you are covered appropriately throughout the massage. 

Please let us know if we are too firm, or if you want a lighter pressure. Occasionally you may have a sensitive spot in a muscle that feels like a knot. It's likely to be uncomfortable while we massage it out. But if it becomes painful, please let us know. 

You should leave your massage feeling relaxed, and possibly ready for a lie down. Don't worry, this is quite normal. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated and this will soon pass. Or of course, you could just have a lie down and you will certainly find that you sleep well that night.
